ACADEMIC INFORMATION
Xavier’s follows the Archdiocesan Curriculum guide as outlined by the Catholic Board of Education.
ACADEMIC SUBJECTS OFFERED ARE:
Religion, Language Arts (Penmanship, Literature and Reading Comprehension, Reading, Writing, Phonics, Spelling & Vocabulary), Mathematics, General/Health Science, Social Studies, Art, Family Life, Library, Music, Physical Education (Basketball, Field Events, Swimming), Computer and Spanish
Homework is given in all grades Monday through Thursday.

XAVIER’S LOWER SCHOOL PARTICIPATES IN:
Archdiocesan Annual Track and Field Meet, Archdiocesan Annual Spelling Bee, Archdiocesan Basketball Tournament and Various Ministry of Education Events
OUR GRADING SYSTEM IS AS FOLLOWS:
The Kindergarten assessment system consists of the following categories:
- S Satisfactory
- P Progressing
- NI Needs Improvement
Grading Scale for Grades 1-6
- A (95-100) Superior
- A- ( 90-94) Excellent
- B+ (87-89) Good
- B (83-86) Good
- B- (80-82) Good
- C+ (77-79) Average
- C (73-76) Average
- C- (70-72) Average
- D+ (67-69) Needs Improvement
- D (63-66) Needs Improvement
- D- (60-62) Needs Improvement
- F (0-59) Failure
PROMOTION REQUIREMENTS AND MATRICULATION
Students who fail to maintain a 69% grade in Religion, Language Arts, Mathematics and a Science in one school year will be required to repeat the grade.
Students who are absent for twenty(20) consecutive days may be required to repeat the grade.
Sixth grade students failing to meet the promotion requirements will receive a certificate of attendance instead of a diploma.
